MESSAGE FROM THE
PRESIDENT
Welcome
to 2010! It is hard to believe that we are entering our 5th
year as an affiliate. What a milestone! I’m sincerely looking forward
to another year of collaboration, successful programming, member &
sponsor support and the on-going networking that HRSF has become known
for.
As we reflect on 2009, I am quite proud
of the affiliate’s accomplishments. We were able to manage our expenses
in a very tight economy while orchestrating quality programming in the
Pacific Northwest. Additionally, we redefined our
Membership Value
Proposition which added new corporate sponsorships and expanded the
benefits of individual membership. Lastly, our annual Fall Conference
featuring Center for Effective Organizations (part of USC Marshall
School of Business) attracted nearly 100 HR professionals, despite the
time and budget pressures we are all experiencing. Thanks to such strong
attendance, it was our first profitable conference and we were able to
gather tremendous feedback as we plan for the future.
We are off to a great start in 2010
with some dynamic programs ahead. I encourage you to spread the word
about the Pacific Northwest Human Resource Strategic Forum and invite
your colleagues to participate in one of our upcoming sessions and in
fact, to join us as a member.
May this year bring a bright
perspective to you in this “new economy.” I look forward to seeing you
at an upcoming program.
